Zach Spicher
What’s up everyone, I’m Zach Spicher! I am an avid bowhunter, storyteller, and devoted outdoorsman based in Virginia. I was raised in a family of military veterans, and I carry that legacy forward through my continued service in the United States Marine Corps. The discipline and grit I’ve developed in uniform translate directly into the field, where I’ve had the opportunity to pursue a wide range of game including whitetail, bison, stag, fallow deer, and turkey.
Beyond the hunt, I’ve built a passion for bringing my experiences to life through short stories – capturing not just the pursuit, but the emotion, strategy, and deep respect for the outdoors. That passion led me to create the Instagram page Echoes of the Hunt, where I write and share personalized short stories for fellow hunters and huntresses, helping them relive and preserve their most meaningful moments and memories in the field. As a member of the Boondocks Hunting team, I’m also part of an effort to create outdoor-themed stories for children-encouraging the next generation to step away from screens and embrace the fresh air, adventure, and real-world experiences in the wild.
My “True North” is rooted in God, family, the outdoors, and writing. Faith keeps me grounded and gives me perspective no matter what season I’m in. Family is the reason behind so much of what I do. They keep me motivated, humble, and focused on what really matters. The outdoors is where I reset and reconnect. Being outside reminds me to slow down, appreciate life, and stay present. Writing is how I process, create, and make sense of the world. It’s both an outlet and a constant source of purpose for me.
