Howdy, I’m Victoria! I’m an outdoor enthusiast in constant search for connection and adventure with other like-minded people. My interests include fly fishing, hiking, kayaking, camping and cooking as well as ceramics. I have a unique career path that allows me to work in my two most favorite states, Idaho and Alaska, although I may be a little biased. Being from southern Idaho has sparked my interest in fishing, specifically fly fishing the last six years. I have been working seasonally for the past five years, four of which have been in the great state of Alaska.

Working in some of the most gorgeous places in Alaska has deepened my appreciation for targeting certain species. From the moment I caught my first sockeye, I felt a deep connection to salmon as a whole and I knew right away I would continue to feel drawn towards them and what they stand for. As they return from their journey from the ocean back to their home waters, every part of their lifecycle holds value. Harvesting and simply admiring fish has easily become one of my favorite parts of my experience within the outdoors and what I would consider to be my True North, while sharing and teaching others is a close second. I am able to do both during my summer season as I manage hospitality for a fly fishing lodge in Bristol Bay, The Lodge at 58* North, and back home while working at my local fly shop, Idaho Angler.
