Logan Green
My name is Logan Green. I live in Eastern North Carolina, and I’ve been exploring the outdoors my entire life. I started deer hunting with my dad when I was about nine years old, but as I got older, it was my little brother who got me hooked on duck hunting. That quickly turned into a passion that’s consumed me every season since.
Over the years, I’ve traveled all over chasing waterfowl—starting in Arkansas with family, then on to North Dakota and even into Canada with a solid group of friends who are just as obsessed with the sport as I am. I’m glad duck and turkey seasons don’t overlap, because my other passion is chasing wild turkeys. My girlfriend and I travel all over for it—North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, and South Carolina. My respect and love for the wild turkey grow deeper every season I spend learning these incredible birds.
My fondest outdoor memory is a little bittersweet. I lost my little brother nine years ago in a car accident. That winter, my brother, dad, and I shared a duck blind one morning. It was probably the worst duck hunt we ever had—we didn’t shoot a thing—but the time spent together joking and just being there meant everything to me. It’s a memory I’ll never forget.
What I love most about hunting and being outdoors is the peace that comes with it. When I’m in the woods, everything else seems to fade away. In a world that never slows down, it’s nice to find a little silence and calm among the wild things I love so much.
