Averie Duhe
My name is Averie Duhe and I’m from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I’m a lifelong outdoorswoman with a deep-rooted passion for hunting, fishing, and spending time in God’s creation. I’ve been hunting since a very young age, and the outdoors has been a huge part of my life ever since.
Waterfowl hunting is where my passion truly lies, and ducks are by far my favorite species to hunt. There’s nothing better than early mornings in the blind, watching birds work the decoys, and sharing those moments with friends and family. When I’m not in a duck blind, you’ll most likely find me on the water fishing. My favorite species to target is largemouth bass, and I love spending time exploring the waters and marshes of South Louisiana.
My faith is a huge part of who I am, and I’m incredibly grateful for the land, wildlife, and opportunities that God provides. Being outdoors is a constant reminder of His creation, and it’s something I never take for granted.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a concentration in Corporate Training and Development and my Master’s degree in Strategic Communications with a concentration in Marketing Strategies. One day, I hope to combine my education with my passion for the outdoors by working within the outdoor industry and helping promote hunting, conservation, and the outdoor lifestyle.
My “True North” has always been and will always be, Jesus Christ. He guides my steps and walks with me through my life. He has taught me the value of His land and His creation… things we often take for granted every single day. On every hunt/trip I go on, I try my best to show Him gratitude for His creation by treating the game with respect. After every kill, I thank God for the ability to harvest these animals, and I thank the animal for its sacrifice. Its meat will sustain my body while God sustains my heart. This is my hunting mantra. This is a value I hold dear to my heart and strive to instill this same way of thinking to every hunter I encounter.
I’m proud to be part of the True North Woods and Water Pro Staff and to represent a brand that shares my love for the outdoors. I look forward to sharing my experiences in the field and on the water while encouraging others to enjoy and respect the traditions of hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.
