Faith Roenner
My name is Faith Roenner, and I’m from Northeast Oklahoma. I’ve been passionate about the outdoors for as long as I can remember and started hunting when I was about eight years old. Now, fifteen years later, being outdoors has become more than just a hobby — it’s a way of life that keeps me grounded and reminds me of who I am.
My favorite species to hunt is turkey, and when it comes to fishing, I love chasing paddlefish. There’s nothing quite like the challenge and excitement that comes with both — they keep you sharp, patient, and in tune with nature. Every year, I make my way out to western Oklahoma, which has become one of my favorite places to hunt. The wide-open plains, quiet mornings, and endless skies always remind me why I fell in love with the outdoors in the first place.
My “True North” is found out there — in the great plains, where I can disconnect from the noise of everyday life and fully connect with nature. It’s where I feel the most like myself, whether I’m sitting still listening to the sounds of the land, or helping someone new learn the ways of hunting. There’s something special about passing that knowledge on — teaching others how to read the land, understanding animal behavior, and appreciating the little details that make every hunt meaningful.
When I’m not outdoors, I’m usually planning my next trip or sharing memories from the last one. The outdoors continues to teach me patience, respect, and gratitude every single day.
